I-WIL-B
(Inspiring Women in Leadership and Business) was formed in 2014 and it was
understood that our network group would be one of the leading voices for
#genderparity. I-WIL-B is a multi-national network group for Women in
Leadership and Business which promotes women empowerment principals for the
advancement of women. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, our effort to
create awareness and elevate conversation about developing the mindset that
promoting gender parity intensifies.
It is so exciting to be part of the International Women’s Day theme for 2018
#pressforprogress which has been met with plenty enthusiasm coupled with a lot
of male faces joining the campaign, which is a treat to see making this
interesting time indeed.
At the wake
of an all time high for global pro-women campaigns worldwide ralling behind
popular movements such as the #metoo and #time’sup movements, addressing the
sexual abuse scandals perpetrated by influential men in the entertainment and
film industries.
As a
commitment to the #pressforprogress campaign, I-WIL-B will be hosting a
#pressforprogress workshop on World Intellectual Property Day 26th
April, which will be free to members. The workshop includes a UNISA conflict
management workshop, Productivity for SMMEs and Small Enterprise Development
agency programs available to grow your business. This will be supported by a
“Women in Business’ Research survey to be facilitated by UNISA Research
lecturers which will give insights to the needs, challenges and aspirations of
women in business as well as in the workplace. This is a unique report that
will inform our activities and planning for ‘Women in Business’ going forward.
Our call to
action for all women is to join our movement to create a voice for ‘Women in
Business’ and to champion the theme #pressforprogress. Visit our Facebook page https://facebook.com/BossBabesDaily/ or email us i-wil-b@groupmai.com to join our network group.
To companies
and leading organizations, I-WIL-B is calling on all industry leaders to consider
including #genderparity clauses in contractual agreements or service level
agreements that promote for gender equity in procurement of goods and services,
as well as all government service delivery good governance codes. The time for
action is upon us! #time’sup #metoo #pressforprogress.
